Former Vice President of the United States and Democratic nominee in the 2024 presidential election, Kamala Harris, has slammed US President Donald Trump over war escalation with Iran.
In an official statement released on her X account, Harris said Trump is dragging the United States and the American people into a war they do not want.
She stated vehemently her opposition to regime change war in Iran, noting that US troops are being put in harm’s way over President Trump’s war choice.
“Donald Trump is dragging the United States into a war the American people do not want. Let me be clear: I am opposed to a regime-change war in Iran, and our troops are being put in harm’s way for the sake of Trump’s war of choice,” she wrote on X.
This comes as Trump confirmed that the US and Israel struck Iran.
However, Iran retaliated by attacking US bases in the Middle East.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu named three signs that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is dead from a US/Israeli joint strike.
Meanwhile, the Iranian government is yet to confirm if Ayatollah Khamenei is dead as of the time of filing this report.
