FA Cup final: Records will be broken – Guardiola warns Man Utd

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has admitted that Manchester United will be fighting to preserve Sir Alex Ferguson’s legacy, when both sides clash in the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Guardiola’s men have already retained their Premier League crown and are looking to complete a domestic double, before they face Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10.

United remain the only team in history to win the Treble, back in 1999 under former boss Ferguson.

“I didn’t speak with Bruno Fernandes and company to know exactly the reason why it means more to them.

“Or the emotional reason why they are going to play the final. But I could understand it, because it (the Treble) belongs to them. That’s normal. Sport is like that. Records will be broken.

“It belongs to them. They don’t want anyone else to do it. So it’s normal, that feeling. It’s completely understandable,” Guardiola said.
